A tribute to the Doctor. A wonderful series that i've been watching for a long time now, but recently got back into running over the old episodes and getting caught up on the new season.
The Circle of Who is what I have lovingly called this piece. it should be clear if you understand the references and my suggested poses. He is a torn man constantly struggling with an endless curiosity matched only by his constant loneliness. Anyway,,,hope you enjoy.

ajkhgkshdg I love how you painted this. Although the circle with the tardis, the dalek and the tomb stone are maybe too much, it would look better without them in my opinion- i know it's the name of the painting but still. Very nice touch are the two doctors in the back- they look somehow ghostly and give the atmosphere of him being "torn man constantly struggling with an endless curiosity matched only by his constant loneliness", really lovely and sad. The colouring is nice, good job. Anyway, great piece, one of my favourite dw artworks
thank you so much for the kind words. I can see what you mean on the circle but my idea was to match the circle with the moods of the doctor. His love affair with the Tardis with his spirit of endless curiosity for exploration, the Daleks being in the middle as being as essential to the story line as the doctor himself and finally his spirit of struggle and loss with each passing companion. I tried it without the circle and the two ghostly figures didnt work as well as it did with it. Thanks again for stopping by!
Tick Tock, rumble, rock,
The box falls from the sky,
And then comes madman
Instead of one who died.
Tick Tock, at door knock,
The ringing of the phone,
Like light through the night,
And he is not alone.
Tick Tock, "click" of lock
Of bluest blue door... Say,
Time flies, Timelord dies,
But there's another way.
Tick Tock, goes the clock
From smiling to the bitter...
No fall, longest call
Of one who loves the flirting.
Tick Tock, problems stock,
And what is next to do?
One way - he has to stay
On circle of the Who.
Anyway, great piece, one of my favourite dw artworks
