Sorry i kind of saw this line-work you put up and thought immediately of this. Anyway PSCS4 about 6 hours of colors. Could have been more detailed...could have been more finished but im happy with the result. enjoy all. Sorry for the late Halloween picture.
So I have a question that dares to make me sound retarded but I am an artist (obviously) and I am interested in delving head first into digital artwork, since I have like 30 binders full of character designs. I am thinking about using my tax check for a tablet and photo shop CS5, I am utterly clueless as to using this software(other than the 1 semester I had in high school). So do you have any advice (since you're clearly extremely proficient) and wtf is vector? Also, do I really need the $500 Photoshop or can I start with the $150 one? Your input would be greatly appreciated, I tried looking at forums and ended up just being more confused, ha. It isn't too hard to confuse me though...
im still new to the digital art field myself. I have been doing digital art for a couple years myself. I would recommend getting a decent tablet and the cheap version of PS ( i use cs4 and its fine) even the trial would work to test it out before spending that crazy money. Vector is not usually done in PS, it is more of an illustrator thing involving creating a selection of canvas and filling it with color or with a gradient, however i dont know much about that. feel it out. i will say that the tablet is important. I was fortunate to save up for an intuos4 which i love and its reasonably priced for what i get. good luck to you. always ask questions to feel people out and find out their tips and tricks.
So I bought the Intuos4 and I am loving it, thanks for the tips! I am working with PS Elements 10 and trying to get the feel for it before I buy any software...so yeah, Thnx!
